What will I learn on the course?
By taking our distance learning Interior Design course, you will learn the basic skills of an Interior Designer. You will learn about the history of interior design and study classic design styles. The course also deals with the features which contribute to good design such as concept, colour, shape, texture and balance. It also explores the various ‘elements’ of a room which influence design. There are practical areas of the course too – you will undertake an interior design project and learn what equipment and other skills you will need to set up a small business as an Interior Designer.

COURSE ASSESSMENT
This course is marked through a process of continuous assessment guided by your tutor following NCFE guidelines. This means that your qualification will be awarded according to your performance on assessments rather than by taking an exam.
When you have completed the programme, your tutor needs to verify that you have worked through all parts of any Workbooks, Activities and Exercises successfully. Upon verification of the activities, exercises and assignments, a certificate of achievement will be awarded by the national awarding organisation NCFE, as confirmation that your written work has met all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for the programme
COURSE DURATION
We recommended you spend approximately 100 hours of your time studying for the Interior Design course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

HOME STUDY COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The good news is that no prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone wishing to learn more about Interior Design and would like to take part in a highly rewarding home study course. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and study further, so we try to keep our entry requirements to a minimum.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with full tutor support.
COURSE FEES
Our aim is to provide you with the best deal available, therefore the registration fee, certification fee and full tutor support is included in the course price for you. The enrolment fee for the Interior Design home study course is £368.75 (inc VAT), though for a limited time we are offering you the opportunity to pay only £295 (inc VAT) which is a 20% discount if you enrol online and pay in full.

COURSE QUALIFICATION
Level 3 NCFE Award in Interior Design
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 3 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in which case GCSE's are at levels 1 and 2 and A Levels are at level 3).
This is a dual certification course. You will receive a certificate from both the College and also the National Awarding body NCFE. Fees for both are included in the course fee.

Q. Who can take the Interior Design course?
No prior knowledge of Interior Design is necessary; the course is open to anyone but quite obviously a good background in, and enthusiasm for, design in general is an advantage as is a reasonable level of literacy.
Q. How does the Interior Design course work?
The great thing about distance learning is that you can study from home or work, at your own pace and in your own time. You will also have your very own professional personal tutor offering support via email and post.
